Sunday Morning Elder's Class

BibleStudy

Trinity Lutheran Church offers a number of different Bible Study opportunities. On Sunday mornings, from 9:00 - 10:00, the Elders lead the Early Word Bible Study. This is a group discussion on the assigned bible readings for the service the following week. The Old Testament reading, Epistle reading, and Gospel reading are all read and discussed. This is an excellent way to join in a Bible Study without committing to long-term attendance. Each lesson stands on its own and prepares the participants, in advance, for the coming message.

Adult Catechesis Classes

Saturday mornings in February & March we will be holding a new session of adult catecheis. If you want to learn about the basic Christian articles of faith as understood and taught by Lutherans (specifically Lutherans of the Missouri-Synod denomination), join us Saturday mornings from 10:30-12:30 - Feb. 18-March 24th.  We will be progressing through Luther's Small Catechism.  There is no compulsion to join the church; these classes are offered as information.  If you desire to join the congregation after the classes, you are certainly welcome to do so.

College Bible Study

College students gather weekly, to study either a book of the Bible or a contemporary Christian book.  This year’s study is based on the book UnChristian.  The study usually meets in the evening on campus with dinner. Please check the Campus Ministry page for more information.

Home Bible Studies

There are typically two or three home Bible studies going on throughout the year.  Sometimes these studies are on a book of scripture, sometimes the studies are simply a popular book, enhanced by a companion Bible study. They usually meet on a regular basis in the homes of members and are lead by the laity.

Men's Prayer Breakfast

OutofNothing The men have begun a new video study on creation.  The study is entitled "Out of Nothing: The Word, Creation and Faith."  It includes a thorough explanation of the many views held by Christians and non-Christians about the origin of the earth in the universe.  It also provides some compelling evidence to reconsider evolution, and instead consider a young earth and the creation account as recorded in Genesis.  It helps us see the ramifications of compromising faith by embracing another faith.  For more information, click the picture on the left. This is a great time to begin this study and fellowship if you have not already participated.  Typically the schedule is 8 to 8:45 a.m. breakfast and fellowship; 8:45 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. the study; 9:45 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. prayers, (cleanup follows).  Free will offerings are typically taken to offset the food, but right now the balance is healthy!
